state-by-state basis.
In 2011, senior partnerBob Prince was named as one of the top attorneys in the state of Alabama by Super Lawyers. In 2010, partner Matt Glover was named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. In 2011, partner Josh Hayes was also named as one of Alabama's Rising Stars.
For Rising Stars lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action - whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
The objective of Super Lawyers is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, lawyer ratings are limited to those who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.
